The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact.
The agency was founded in 1995 after a decade of work by a group of concerned citizens who recognized the need for youth programming in the community. The agency was initially located in the YMCA, but is now located in Downtown Lewistown. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Juniata Valley YMCA is a Mifflin-Juniata United Way member agency. We are members of Mifflin County Communities That Care and the Juniata Valley Chamber of Commerce.
